Suzanne Kaaren

Suzanne Kaaren was born on March 21, 1912, in Brooklyn, New York. In  1932 she became one of the 50 original Rockettes that opened the Radio City Music Hall. In 1932 as well, she had a spot on the women's olympic squad, but her parents forbid her to be on it. In 1940 she co-starred in one of the most popular movies in the 1900's, The Devil Bat, with Bela Lugosi. Suzanne met Sidney Blackmer and later married in 1943. After some great years of marriage, Sidney Blackmer died on October 6, 1973. Kaaren died on August 27, 2004, in Englewood, New Jersey, of Pneumonia.
